Utility Equipment Operator

This position will require a knowledge of both Shipping & Receiving processes. Flexibility in job assignments as well as the versatility to work both equally well. In addition, the skill to operate Lift Equipment, RF units, and physical skills to lift or push / pull substantial product weight. Other duties include: Pick up product from Staging Area and off load onto Rack Shelving units, Floor locations, or Stack Racks Pick up product from Rack Shelving Units, Floor locations, or Stack Racks and off load onto Dock / Bay area When placing product accurately scan all merchandise utilizing RF gun Maintain a clean and safe working environment Ensure full compliance of all safety programs both while operating and not operating material handling equipment All other duties as assigned At Bob's Discount Furniture, we value the unique skills and experiences that each candidate brings. Order Picker Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position. Minimum Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent work experience, ability to operate a variety of industrial lift equipment and RF units, prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, ability to communicate proactively and effectively, and must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob's. Physical Demands include ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance. Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center, move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations, stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
