Utility Worker
As a Utility Worker, you will begin by learning to operate equipment associated with extrusion and tube mill processes, handling aluminum products. This role involves training to operate, support, and move materials using lifting techniques and hoists. Candidates will learn press team operations related to the aluminum extrusion department, ensuring quality objectives are met and assisting operators in extrusion or casting equipment. You will work closely with team members and management to meet daily production goals. Responsibilities
Operate equipment associated with extrusion and tube mill processes. Handle aluminum products using lifting techniques and hoists. Learn and perform press team operations in the aluminum extrusion department. Ensure all quality objectives are met. Assist operators in extrusion or casting equipment. Report and review unusual conditions to lead operators or supervisors. Interact constantly with team members and management to meet production goals. Adhere to Union terms regarding shift movement and flexibility. Essential Skills
Mechanical aptitude and machine operating experience. Production or related experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interest in learning forklift operation. Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shifts and up to 12-hour shifts. Willingness to work weekends. Ability to perform physical demands such as lifting weights over 15 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs assisted. Additional Skills & Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in manufacturing processes. Experience in production support, assembly line work, and inventory management. Proficiency in quality control, inspection, and machine operation. Experience with hand tools, packaging, and material handling. Why Work Here?

Extrusion involves 8-hour shifts, likely extending to 10-hour shifts, with work on weekends except one per month. The role involves cleaning grease, oil, and hydraulic fluids as part of the metal manufacturing process. Candidates must be comfortable working around or with grease. Shifts available are 2nd (3pm-11pm) and 3rd (11pm-7am), dictated by Union terms with flexibility required. Job Type & Location
