Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Office Assistant to join our Ashland Specialty Ingredients, GP business at our Kenedy, TX location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function. This position will report to the Plant Manager. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Ensure contractor compliance in the subcontractor management program (AVETTA) Provide orientation training for contractors and visitors, keep accurate records, and manage the inventory of security badges Maintain safety, breakroom, and office supply inventories Prepare and provide accurate finished product labels and ensure reconciliations Coordinate annual employee medical exams and maintain records Oversee safety glasses, safety shoes, and tool allowance programs Coordinate forklift maintenance and repairs, manage radio inventory, and coordinate repairs Coordinate uniform rental receiving Organize meeting rooms and meals as needed Prepare weekly/annual work schedules and overtime sheets Assist the plant accountant with inventory paperwork and receivables Maintain the mailroom (sort incoming mail and packages) Perform miscellaneous office duties and clerical support for functional teams as needed Perform duties in conformance with the principles of Responsible Care and Ashland's Zero Incident Culture Conduct all duties in accordance with good manufacturing practices Assist Quality with shipping samples, print forms for operators Record retention duties In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: A high school diploma or equivalent Experience with purchasing and production labeling Experience in an office environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
