Production Operator 1
The Production Operator position will utilize established documentation, equipment, quality, and production processes in accordance with safety procedures, and medical device regulations to process and manufacture finished products, such as sutures and absorbable fibers. Set up, operate and adjusts multiple production processes and/or equipment to SOP as trained, including packaging and labeling. Understands and uses various measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, Instron, and scales following prescribed procedures to meet high quality specifications. Documents process data and parameters as required by GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Identifies when process is out of spec and recognizes when to notify supervisor or manufacturing engineer. Follow applicable safety requirements, procedures, work instructions, and standards as required, including use of personal protective equipment. Understand general and technical aspects of the job. Use personal judgement in problem solving and troubleshooting problems. Must be able to work flexible hours. Minimum of High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution required. Manufacturing experience preferred. Previous experience working in the medical device field preferred. Basic computer skills with Microsoft office. SAP experience preferred. Basic math (addition, subtraction, and division) skills and assembly skills. Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. High degree of initiative. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Exposure to high production/output machinery and equipment and constant noise in the production environment. Must be able to avoid potentially moving objects which could cause injury. Consistent lifting: 2-20 lbs. necessary/ Max = 30 pounds. Must be able to reach, grasp, pull push consistently, repetitive motion. Fine motor skills required. Strong hand eye coordination. Sight: Vision must be strong enough, with or without corrective lenses, to allow employee to safely and accurately complete their job responsibilities.
