Manager, External Reporting
This position is responsible for overseeing the external reporting process of Warner Music Group Corp, including overseeing the preparation of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the preparation of various financial reporting deliverables and analyses. This position reports to the VP of Financial Reporting. This position requires a minimum of four days per week in the office. We value in-office collaboration and believe it's essential for talent development and fostering strong working relationships. Lead the preparation and coordination of the quarterly and annual consolidated external financial statements (10-K, 10-Q, etc.) in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with all applicable SEC and other reporting regulations. Become a superuser of Workvia, the cloud-based platform used to prepare our quarterly and annual financial statements. Lead the team in performing disclosure analysis for peer companies. Review and oversee the preparation of the underlying supporting footnote schedules and coordinate with domestic and international affiliates regarding variances comparative to prior reporting periods. Act as the key contact for other departments to coordinate and obtain information for specific sections of the 10-K/10-Q. Review and oversee the preparation of a detailed level tie out of our earnings press releases, quarterly and annual filings (e.g. 10-K, 10-Q, etc.). Assist with the oversight of the Company's equity compensation plan including overseeing the preparation of monthly stock-based compensation journal entries. Review and oversee the preparation of the quarterly earnings per share calculation and quarterly reporting deliverables based on label/affiliate submissions which analyzes quarterly variances of certain key account balances based on their size and risk portfolio. Coordinate the collection of the quarterly Management Representation Letter. Act as control operator for key SOX controls corresponding with the above mentioned responsibilities and task performed. Assist with the preparation of ad hoc reports, special projects, and analyses for senior management, as requested. Rockstar candidates will have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of five years of professional experience in accounting. CPA or CPA candidate preferred. Big Four public accounting or large multi-national experience preferred. Strong digital literacy with knowledge of financial systems and software. Intermediate level knowledge of GAAP/SEC accounting and reporting. Proficient with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management and Workiva (Wd esk) is a plus.
