Development Expert
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Development Expert at our Palo Alto, CA location to be responsible for development focusing on concept, design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team or responsible for complex product areas. Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving complex issues. Define deliverables and provide advice and recommendations on solutions that may affect future design decisions. Improve work methods and engineering skills in the team and beyond to establish state-of-the-art agile software engineering practices. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team. Remove impediments to the Development Team's progress. Implement improvements to API, UI and backend systems. Review pull requests to help keep deliverables flowing to production with quality. Improve codebase, processes, and quality. Track down stack performance issues and help address them. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Experience must involve five (5) years in the following: Python, Django, Django Rest Framework, jQuery, Ajax, ReactJS, SQL, Scrapy, and HTML; API Development; Agile Software Methodology; Maven, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Bamboo; MySQL and PostgreSQL; Celery, RabbitMQ, and Cron Job; and Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Google Cloud Build. The targeted combined range for this position is $192,500 - $327,100. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
