The primary responsibility for the maintenance technician is to oversee the upkeep of all facilities including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, compressors, roof, fire suppression systems, and more. Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Comprehensive knowledge of safety rules, manufacturer recommendations, OSHA regulations and general work safety practices. Understand and follow without exception PPE requirements, safe electrical practices, Energy Isolation procedures, HMIS, and other plant safety requirements. Upkeep HVAC systems conducting inspections, replacing filters, cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting ductwork as necessary. Maintain electrical panels, wiring, testing outlets and switches. Maintain and optimize plumbing including checking for leaks, clearing drains, inspecting fixtures and making repairs. Maintain compressors and monitor pressure and temperatures. Inspect building for structural damage and ensure walls, floors, paint, handrails, pathways, windows, and doors are in good condition. Ensure physical structures are regularly cleaned and debris is cleared. Oversee fire suppression system maintenance including alarm tests and fire extinguisher checks. Maintain bins, compactors, and balers ensuring they are clear/clean. Inspect ladders, eyewash stations, and cranes. Performance seasonal maintenance tasks including managing snow removal, HVAC seasonal maintenanceetc. Support contractor visits for routine facilities inspections. Other duties as assigned. About You: Have an active EPA 608 Certification and be authorized to perform HVAC Maintenance per state of Ohio requirements Two-year associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent experience base preferred. Bonus if course work is in solid base in plastics, plastic manufacturing equipment, machine tool, and power transmission equipment, rigging, hydraulics and pneumatics and electrical. Ability to document repairs, equipment status, and the equipment history files. Perform all plant equipment start up and shutdown procedures individually and/or with production team personnel in a safe and efficient manner. Job will require good physical strength and dexterity necessary to move around moving machinery including climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, etc. There will be frequent exposure to the elements and the heat and humidity within the plant operation.
