Job Scope: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is to perform a wide variety of building and grounds maintenance tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to performing daily landscaping duties such as cutting grass, watering and trimming plants. Responsible for removing unsafe conditions such as snow and ice removal. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for performing interior and exterior maintenance tasks such as changing lights, repairing drywall, replacing ceiling tiles, and other minor building repairs. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices. (GMP) Ensure plant lawn is always well-maintained by mowing grass on a regular basis using a riding lawnmower, string trimmer or heavier tractor equipment if needed. Operate string trimmer and edger to remove overgrowth to maintain clean and neat appearance for outdoor areas. Perform safety inspections on equipment. Perform basic maintenance on grounds keeping equipment. Maintain and clean all equipment regularly while reviewing safety features and hazards of all tools and machines utilized on an ongoing and regular basis. Perform routine maintenance on the buildings, facilities or grounds (both interior and exterior). Spread fertilizer, plant food, mulch and other materials around plants as needed. Remove weeds, leaves and dead plants from premises on a regular basis. Treat lawn and landscaping with pesticides to remove harmful insects. Keep parking lot and walkways clear of snow and ice using salt and heavier equipment like snow blowers when necessary. Maintain clean work environment after completion of a task. Complete other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor, or Management member. Additional Job Functions: Maintain good standing working relationships with Co-Workers by being a Team Player. Other Duties and Responsibilities as required or assigned by a supervisor. Qualifications: Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely. Able to climb ladders to perform work from elevated platforms and catwalks. Must work in a safe, professional manner always. Must report any accidents, property damage, or near misses to a supervisor immediately. Must have the ability to accept temporary assignment changes to assist other areas of the Plant, maintaining a positive, professional attitude. Must possess excellent communication skills to properly communicate with Employees and Supervisors.

Must successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
