PCA Substitute Teacher The Substitute Teacher must be prepared and on call at any time during the school day to provide assistance to PCA or The Nursery as needed. The Teacher reports to Abeka Academy when not subbing and assists with processing paper and/or digital student course work. The Teacher also assists with academic customer calls. Teach When Needed Be prepared and on call at any time of the school day to take a classroom, extended school class, staff day care, or the Nursery. Track time and inform Abeka supervisor when called. Grade at Abeka Student Work Process student course work by grading papers and/or digital assessments as trained with at least 85% accuracy, and document grades and other pertinent information in the correct places. Assist in Abeka Office Assist general graders by handling and resolving complex student work issues. Perform additional office assistance as assigned. Answer Customer Calls Provide additional academic assistance by assisting with incoming customer telephone calls, maintaining the given goals of 98% calls answered, average talk time of 5 minutes, and availability time of 75% or more. FLSA Status - Professional (Exempt) Education Required Education: Bachelor's Degree - Elementary Education Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree - Elementary Education Work Experience Required Experience: 1+ years of teaching with Abeka Physical Requirements and Skills Communication, Creative and enthusiastic when working with children, Handwriting, Knowledgeable in subject matter, Microsoft Office, Participate in songs, drills, and games with students, Possess strong desire to instill biblical values through teaching and personal example
