Manager - Refreshment Center
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, US Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Manager of the Refreshment Center is to manage all operations for the assigned department and other duties as assigned. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manages assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, the division and Venetian/Palazzo. Manages the delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes. Assign daily workload to all TMs. This is a supervisor primary function, however will need RFC Managers intervention during days off. Run daily reports for attendants, delegate floors, and assign station. Maintenance of minibars and RFC inventory carts. This is a supervisor primary function however will need the RFC Managers intervention during days off, replacement part ordering, and IT/Facilities work orders. Research and handle all account disputes and inventory report from accounting and front office status team. Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Handle guest challenges for the department. Program and create new templates for the Bartech systems. Run market test on new products and do reports on the success or failure of the test. Manage cost and labor in the department. Maintain the daily optimization report for the department. Manage the departmental quarterly award program. Do the departmental scheduling and flexes. HR
Consistent communications with our HR partner. RFC Mgr will address all TM challenges and concerns brought forth by Human Resources, hire additional TM, terminations, evaluations, maintain consistency with all departmental SOP's, and provide timely feedback. Maintain the time and attendance calendar. Fill out daily managers log. Update kronos daily. Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure V/Ps competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment. Analyzes daily reports including revenue, profit, labor and operating costs and act on areas of opportunity. Monitors fiscal budget, operations of assigned department(s) and marketing strategies to produce both short term and long term profitability for Venetian/Palazzo. P&L
rationalization. Use of Cognos software to investigate department expenses with detailed explanations for all margins not in line with Budget. Attend all departmental meetings related to RFC and Food and Beverage. Delegate tasks and department assignments or projects, meeting deadlines related to those assignments. Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Manages the Refreshment Supervisor and 24 Refreshment Center Attendants. Develops staff skills to enhance department effectiveness and manage resources to eliminate excess cost of unnecessary expenditures. Monitors team performance in all phases of service and job functions; rectify deficiencies. Manages Human Resources responsibilities for assigned department(s) to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the companys diversity commitment; compliance with company policies, legal requirements. Safety is an essential function of this job. Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job. Performs other related duties as assigned. Company Standards of Conduct All The Venetian Resort Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Companys standards, work requirements and rules of conduct. Minimum Qualifications
21 years of age. Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain and maintain an Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card, a food handlers card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 3 years of experience in the position. Computer knowledge (AS/400, Kronos, Excel, BarTech, Mini Bar systems). Ability to be well organized, think clearly and focus on details. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience. Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to VCR appearance standards. Maintain consistent adherence to the VCR Unmatched Guest Service Standards. Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements
Must be able to: Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation. Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel. Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
