Staff Facilities Engineer

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Staff Facilities Engineer to join our team. The role will be located in Wilson, North Carolina. As the Staff Facilities Engineer you will be responsible and accountable for the operations and maintenance of our Facilities equipment and areas, ensuring that all our processes and operations follow our compliance and EHS practices and SOPs. You will partner with our Integrated Facilities Management provider for the execution of the Soft services scope (i.e., housekeeping, pest control, landscaping and grounds, building envelope maintenance, Cafeteria and Security services). Responsible for supporting our Facilities Quality and Compliance Systems, Investigations, CAPAs, trainings, CMMS processes, SOPs, NOV and internal/external audits compliance. Lead and support the development and execution of our LRFP, workplace experience strategy, Asset risk and compliance strategy and capital projects. A suitable candidate for this role will have experience in facilities maintenance operations, infrastructure management, space management, and onsite employees and business services within a manufacturing site. Key relationships include outsourced vendors and establishing clear lines of engagement with site-level business partners such as Engineering, Quality and Compliance, EHS and the FM Asset Management team. This position reports directly to the Facilities Management Site Lead. Key Responsibilities: Drive compliance, quality and Safety within Facilities Management. Provide technical support to the changes in the impacted areas according to GMP and EHS&S regulatory requirements. Acts as Facilities SME for area improvement, deviation and investigation evaluations, regulatory and compliance audits, and capital justification. Also, supports FM Service Providers. Quality SME in facilities, including but not limited to pest control, drawings, housekeeping management, etc. Oversight of FM Service Provider's daily performance and site operational opportunities by participating in Tier 1, Tier 2, and Supervisor meetings as applicable. Identify recurrent opportunities in site assets / systems impacting Quality. Assign root cause and create plans to mitigate / eliminate the opportunity. Provide technical support to the FM Service Provider to maintain the operating procedures up to date and oversight the FM Service Provider for the strict compliance. Participates in IFM Governance Meetings and Processes including monthly SMT, inspections and similar. Supports in the installation, qualification, and validation of equipment to be incorporated into the Manufacturing and/or Facilities areas. Coordinates and performs inspections inside and outside the facility to identify situations that may impact the proper functioning of the plant. Ensures compliance with the ISO14001 Standards by reviewing the operation of the facilities. Lead partnerships with Engineering, Maintenance, and Manufacturing to facilitate cross-functional problem-solving. Works with operations, maintenance, and engineering groups to support Site Operations equipment reliability improvement efforts. Design maintenance process and create procedures as needed for work control, work order planning and scheduling, equipment records and parts inventory Evaluates and approve master data changes in the eCMMS system Support the site business continuity plans and infrastructure management programs Partner with the Workplace Experience Manager to manage occupancy, utilization, and spatial data. Qualifications: Bachelor's or equivalent degree required in engineering, science or business administration is preferred Experience & Skills: Required: A minimum of 4 years of experience working in facilities in a GMP product manufacturing plant environment. Basic management & supervision of both in-house and contracted personnel. Comprehensive knowledge in Investigations, CAPA, and RCA. Must be a self-starter, able think outside the box, challenge the norm and drive change. Ability to maintain both strategic and tactical focus Strong communication skills both written and oral Preferred: Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry Demonstrated knowledge in technical and business fields Strong record of local collaboration ensuring completion of projects and people development Budget/financial management skills Other: This position requires availability for traveling (up to 10%), working extended hours, and might be required to work on holidays and weekends.
