Adjunct Instructor, Human Relations and Multicultural Education

St. Cloud State University is seeking applications for potential adjunct instructors who qualify to teach in the College of Education- Department of Education, Human Relations and Multicultural Education Program. Part-time teaching positions in introductory required courses using a framework which analyzes institutional and personal oppression in the U.S. Teach courses in human relations and multicultural education based on a global critical framework of structural oppression, social and environmental justice and the interrelationship of race, gender, class, sexual orientation, disability, xenophobia, imperialism and environmental issues. This adjunct position will remain open for 1 year to allow departments' access to candidate pools when there is a need to hire an adjunct to teach a course(s) during defined academic semester(s). Compensation is per credit, the current credit rate is a minimum of $1,819 per credit. Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree Clear articulation of institutional/structural/global oppression and social and environmental justice Knowledge of theories related to social and environmental justice on the global national and personal levels and the interrelationships between them Demonstrated experience in social action Specific evidence of excellence in teaching Evidence of the ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds Required Documents (Upload at Time of Application)
