Join the Surgical finance team leading Financial, Planning and Analysis activities across the globe. The Principal Financial Analyst will report to the OU FP&A Lead and will provide finance leadership and analytical support to drive the financial performance of the Surgical Operating Unit. This position will lead the monthly/quarterly end close activities and support forecasting, annual operating plan and strategic plan processes. He/She will lead the Capex financial process, partner with functions on cost center planning and will have the opportunity to standardize and coordinate LBE, Forecast and AOP cycles, gaining strategic insights into business performance. The preferred location for this position is Boston (MA), North Haven (CT), Mounds View (MN) and Lafayette (CO). You Will: Lead the monthly/quarterly financial close (variance analysis, accruals, impairments, etc), Rolling Forecast and Annual Operating Plan financial processes. Lead the Capex financial process for Surgical OU, working with business partners and functions on forecasting, Annual Operating Plan, spending tracking and reporting. Partner with different LT members on headcount, cost center planning, reporting and budget tracking. Create various financial templates for utilization across all regions and functions. Understand and communicate key financial dates and drive process deadlines for their business partners (functions/regions) Be the subject matter expert on OneStream (planning and reporting) and keep the team up to date on dates and updates as needed. Identify / implement continuous process improvements and leverage information systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A processes. Develop ad-hoc financial Analysis and modeling, as required, in a clear, accurate and timely manner. Support/Lead special projects and financial presentations for management, as required. Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of relevant work experience (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years) Advanced skills using Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other MS Office applications Strong organization and prioritization skills Analytical and critical thinking skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and the proven experience translating financial data into meaningful, concise information. Experience with business partnering Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications) MBA/CPA/CMA Finance or Accounting degree and related work experience Strong ability to work in financial/reporting Medtronic financial systems, including SAP, OneStream, and experience with managing Cost Centers Financial modeling experience Experience in a global organization Strong attention to detail Ability to manage tight time commitments, along with flexibility to changing priorities. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $108,000.00 - $162,000.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
