Senior Associate, Merchant Strategy & Operations

The Merchant is at the core of DoorDash. On the Merchant Strategy & Operations team, our mission is to have best-in-class restaurant selection for Consumers and build products and services for our Merchants to grow their businesses profitably on DoorDash. We work on problems ranging from acquiring and onboarding new merchants to building a positive experience and solving pain points for existing merchants, to growing their sales through new products and services. About the Role

As a Merchant Strategy & Operations Senior Associate at DoorDash, you will drive impact and solve problems by digging into details, executing quickly in the face of ambiguity, and building strong cross-functional collaboration. You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution that shape the success of merchants on our platform. On the Merchant team, you'll get to the lowest level of detail by speaking to merchants, partnering with our Product, Support, Marketing, Analytics and Sales teams, and analyzing our data to develop hypotheses for new ways to achieve your goals. You'll test these hypotheses in the market and refine your approach to develop best-in-world solutions. As part of this team, you are the voice of the Merchant to the business, championing their success and helping merchants thrive and retain our platform. Strategize

Build the strategy for new product features and initiatives, including which merchant segments to target and how to drive engagement Analyze

Build models to evaluate the economics, value, and opportunity costs or strategic initiatives and define success with KPIs Experiment

Use data-driven decision-making and sound business judgment to execute tests on everything from adoption to optimization Influence

Work cross-functionally with our product, support, marketing, account management, finance, and analytics teams to land key initiatives Make Stuff Happen

You have 2-4 years of experience in strategy/business development/operations/technology/banking/consulting or related experience; high-growth or early-stage startup experience is a plus You have a Bachelors Degree or higher You're an excellent analytical thinker who can deliver actionable recommendations out of complex datasets; SQL is a plus You have a proven track record of leading initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a complex and fast-moving environment You have expert interpersonal and communication skills You're a

You can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans The successful candidates starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employees work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
