As a newly hired Medical Assistant, you will receive a one-time New Hire Recruitment and Retention Incentive payment of $1,500 on your first paycheck. Types of jobs this recruitment will fill will be regular full time, limited duration (LDA- valid for up to 2 years), on-call positions (up to 20 hours per week) or temporary positions (40 hours a week up to 6 months) or float (different locations and schedule) positions. Uncertified Medical Assistants will start 3% below the beginning wage listed. The Certified Medical/Uncertified Assistant provides clinical support to the patient care team directed towards the prevention of disease and promotion of health using professional clinical support for quality patient care. This position works as part of a care delivery team and works closely with physicians and mid-level providers and other team members to help ensure the delivery of high quality patient care. As the Certified Medical/Uncertified Assistant you will: Provide patient follow-up (i.e.: after visit instructions, setting appointments, patient education, communicate normal lab results and reminder phone calls) Support back office clinic flow and time management for providers. Prepare patients for exams and procedures. Review immunizations, forecast and administer immunizations for clients of all ages. Perform medical treatments such as simple wound care, ear irrigations, suture removal and fluoride treatments. Ensure the exam room is stocked, cleaned and ready for use. Provide back-up lab duties including phlebotomy and processing labs. Complete assigned Quality Control/Assurance activities Provide back-up to the preventative MA. Required Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills: Education/Experience/Training: Requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program. Certification (if have one): Certification through a nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification program, such as AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or CCMA, is required. Candidates hired will be expected to become certified after hire. CPR certification is required (valid CPR certification must be provided upon hire) Other: Depending upon assignment, candidates may be required to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting. *Transferable skills: Your transferable skills are any skills you have gained through education, work experience (including the military), or life experiences that are relevant to this position.
