Bakery Supervisor

To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operation is maintained in the bakery department. Responsibilities include: Ensuring guests receive polite, friendly service from the bakery department staff. Achieving budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the bakery department. Maintaining desired level of inventory and supplies. Operating the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs. Ensuring the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards. Maintaining sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards. Providing guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards. Performing product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards. Maintaining department's labor budget and scheduling standards. Performing all other duties as assigned by management. Performing PA announcements. Qualifications include: Friendly, outgoing personality. Ability to work well with others. Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally. Ability to read and understand information and direction. Knowledge of bakery operations. Ability to supervise people including training and development. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to communicate effectively with store manager and merchandiser. Ability to work well with computers.
