Team Leader, Planar Sensor Dispense

Nova Biomedical is hiring a Team Leader, Planar Sensor Dispense on the Second Shift (3:00 P.M. - 11:30 P.M.- This includes a 10% Shift Differential) in our Waltham, MA facility. This person reports directly to the supervisor of Planar Sensor Manufacturing. This individual will assist the supervisor/manager in overseeing the daily activity within the Planar Sensor Dispensing work cell to assure all work meets quality and output standards to meet the rigorous schedule for the various core/OEM products. The position requires the person to be knowledgeable in all dispense process steps and procedures, willing to train and coach co-workers, be a "team player," have a willingness to learn, and be able to implement and adapt to change. It is required to ensure the work cell manufactures only the highest quality assemblies while meeting manufacturing schedules. Other responsibilities include: Train personnel on existing and new processes Ensure team is maintaining safety and general housekeeping standards Review employees' reconciliation of production materials and properly completed DHR forms Ensure employees are working according to the production schedule React to and help resolve issues that arise within the Dispense Team Interface with co-workers outside of Planar Dispense work cell to ensure product is continuously flowing to Assembly and Test Recommend process improvements that will improve the quality and output of the work cell Train with Supervisor on scheduling, raw materials supply, etc. to act as backup as needed in the absence of the supervisor as needed Provide performance feedback on co-workers to Supervisor to assist in further training and performance assessments Communicate all relevant information to the supervisor/manager Communicate issues to engineering and management Assignment of Lot numbers Assist supervisor/manager in updating weekly build logbook. Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and meet all qualifications for Planar Sensor Assembler (grade 5) Ability to perform backup duties to the supervisor as needed Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of the following processes is required: Automated dispensing of chemistries Auto-polishing UV adhesive applications Laser coding Use of various test equipment Planar Sensor Assembler skills HAZCOM training Chemical hygiene training QSR/ISO Regulations AP, TP, OI, and OP training specific to the area of responsibility SAP training Education/Experience: High School/Trade School diploma Minimum of Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience leading people in a GMP environment, or a full qualification at Planar Sensor Assembler Grade 5 At Nova Biomedical, we practice our core values of mutual respect, honesty, and integrity throughout the company.
