Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer

This role supports manufacturing operations in the areas of process development, tool design, machine programming, machinery & equipment acquisition, manufacturing layout, continuous improvement and other duties associated with engineering support of production. Responsibilities: Leads and participates in engineering projects. Leads and participates in investigations to solve process problems. Provides day to day support and direction to production. Writes and executes CNC programs, Laser marking programs, and process validation protocols. Identifies and implements process improvements. Performs gage design, measurement system analysis, and gage implementation. Develops fixtures and designs tools. Supports new equipment acquisition efforts. Develops and implements manufacturing and inspection procedures. Participates in cross-functional teams. Acts as a liaison to vendors. Performs other related duties. Qualifications: A minimum of a High School Diploma is required. Associates degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering or related field is required. Previous experience working in a regulated industry, such as Medical Device is preferred. Six Sigma or Lean Sigma certification or 2 years of experience preferred. Demonstrates strong written, verbal and presentation skills. Demonstrates strong computer skills, such as the use of Microsoft Office, NX CAD/CAM Minitab, and databases. Demonstrates strong organizational and project management skills and are results oriented. Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills and professional interactions with coworkers. Demonstrates troubleshooting skills. Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
