Senior Project Manager

Engineering to lead complex transformation programs under the firm's BSI 2.0 initiative. This role is instrumental in enabling the expansion of BSI's capital markets platform, including new product launches (repos, equity derivatives, QIS), onboarding of strategic vendors (e.g., Murex, Calypso, Broadridge), and regulatory enablement in a highly governed U.S. environment. Key Responsibilities Lead cross-functional project delivery for technology and operational initiatives supporting BSI's business expansion. Drive execution of key workstreams including IT architecture uplift, regulatory onboarding, target booking model implementation, and workflow integration. Manage stakeholder engagement across Legal, Compliance, Front Office, Risk, and third-party vendors. Oversee integration of front-to-back systems including OMS, risk engines, collateral platforms, and general ledger tools. Own project plans, milestones, budgets, and executive reporting. Ensure alignment with U.S. regulatory requirements, including SEC Rule 15c3-1, 15a-6, CFTC margin rules, and FINRA/FRB oversight. Support the definition and implementation of target operating models and workflows for new product offerings and trading infrastructure. Collaborate with BBVA SA and the BBVA NY Branch to ensure seamless alignment across legal entities and systems. Qualifications Experience
: 10+ years of experience managing complex transformation or platform delivery programs in broker-dealers or regulated financial institutions. Knowledge
: In Banking and Financial Sector regulatory framework and familiarity. Proven experience with capital markets systems such as Murex, Calypso, Broadridge, AxiomSL, or equivalent. Deep understanding of financial products including: U.S. Treasuries, corporate bond repos, securities lending, equity derivatives, structured notes, and cleared swaps. Strong knowledge of U.S. regulatory frameworks and capital requirements. Stakeholder Management
: Ability to engage and manage diverse stakeholders, including senior executives and corporate clients. Education
: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications
: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or relevant banking certifications will be appreciated. Language
: English Speaker, desirable Spanish as a second language. Skills
: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with strong organizational and communication skills tailored to a corporate banking environment. Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and create deliverable documents in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Google Sheets and familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Qlik Identify opportunities for process improvement or organizational/job design and design future state processes gaining input and buy-in from multiple stakeholders.
