VPK/Pre-K Lead Teacher
The VPK/Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for implementing the curriculum and supervising and managing children in the classroom. Must be knowledgeable in developmentally appropriate practices and the State of Florida VPK Standards. Supervise assistant teachers and children in their room ensuring activities and curriculum are adhered to as required by the Director. Conduct assessments of children to indicate growth and areas of improvement and formal meetings with parents. Teachers must gain an understanding of Amazing Explorers Academy policies, procedures, and expectations. Responsibilities:
Maintain classroom appearance, cleanliness, and safety Complete necessary paperwork: daily notes, accident reports, attendance Attend staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings Supervise and assist children during activities Provide counseling for social, academic, or adjustment issues Plan and implement lesson plans, programs, and schedules Prepare instructional aids/materials Assist with meal times and cleanup Ensure equipment is in good condition and used properly Arrange the classroom for well-defined interest areas Direct other staff in maintaining order Communicate with parents and maintain developmental profiles Schedule and conduct parent/teacher conferences Manage classroom bulletin boards and family information board Follow the medication schedule Perform assigned duties Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old Must possess a CDA or higher in Early childhood education with 45 hours training in Early Childhood Education/Child Development and VPK credentials Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality Highly professional and dependable
