BIM Specialist
Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a BIM Specialist to join our client's team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, DevOps, the BIM Specialist plays a crucial role in the development and management of BIM/Revit/AutoCAD/Bluebeam content libraries including Revit Families, templates, groups, AutoCAD block libraries, Bluebeam Tool Sets, in addition to working with internal Construction Technology developers on the creation, maintenance, and management of company specific Revit add-ins and plugins for our BIM & Engineering teams. Duties and Responsibilities: Manages corporate-wide Revit/BIM/CAD content that is utilized by our BIM and Engineering teams. Leads the development and continuous improvement of essential Revit/BIM/CAD content, including but not limited to Revit families/groups/templates, AutoCAD blocks/templates/LISP, and Bluebeam Tool Sets. Maintains corporate-wide BIM/CAD content file libraries, content catalogs, and content documentation. Organizes incoming content requests, bug fixes, enhancements, and prioritizes deliverables based on scheduled content releases. Oversee a QA/QC program to ensure accuracy of Revit/BIM/CAD content and its adherence to company standards. Participate in internal Revit Ribbon add-in development meetings to ensure continuous improvement and development of internal Revit Ribbon add-ins for BIM and Engineering teams. Gathers requirements from internal Revit teams and maintains backlog for Revit Ribbon development with ConTech Developer. Provides updates to internal stakeholders exhibiting iterative improvements made to new tools developed and bug fixes to existing tools. Conducts testing and QA/QC on internal Revit Ribbon add-in development with ConTech Developer. Document new Revit Ribbon add-in features, provide demonstrations to BIM and Engineering teams, and deliver training on new tools developed. Works closely with the ConTech Development & Support Manager, collaborating with the ConTech team on internal projects and release cycles, and with various BIM & Engineering teams and stakeholders on development projects. Provides comprehensive support, issue resolution, and subject matter expertise of Revit/BIM/CAD software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or management. Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities): 5+ years of experience working in Revit as a BIM Manager or BIM Specialist in a Mechanical Construction discipline preferred. Accredited professional degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. High-level proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and legacy platforms such as AutoCAD. Proficiency in programming languages such as C# or Python, Dynamo, or AutoLISP preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills and content database management experience preferred. Ability to proactively solve problems and apply innovative solutions. Ability to effectively meet deadlines and produce high-quality, accurate results. Ability to express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
