We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Labor Relations Manager to oversee union-related matters, with a specific focus on managing grievances for Local 6 in New York. This role is critical in fostering a positive relationship between the organization and its unionized workforce while also addressing non-union employee concerns. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving abilities, active listening skills, highly emotional intelligence skills, advanced writing abilities for documentation such as progressive discipline, and extensive experience conducting thorough investigations and analyzing complex information. Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary liaison for addressing and resolving grievances filed by Local 6 union members. Collaborate with union representatives and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and fair grievance resolutions. Interpret and apply the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) in all grievance matters. Act as a trusted resource for employees, addressing and resolving workplace concerns, regardless of union status. Provide coaching and support to managers and directors to enhance employee engagement and foster a respectful workplace. Analyze situations involving employee disputes or complaints to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Mediate conflicts between employees, managers, and union representatives to achieve amicable outcomes. Conduct thorough investigations into workplace complaints, including discrimination, harassment, and policy violations. Document findings and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions. Leverage data analysis to identify trends and proactively address potential issues. Ensure compliance with all labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Provide guidance on best practices in labor relations and employee engagement. Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on labor relations, grievance handling, and workplace policies. Stay current on labor laws, union practices, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in labor relations, with a focus on managing grievances for Local 6 in New York. Comprehensive knowledge of Local 6 CBAs and applicable labor laws. Proven experience conducting investigations and resolving workplace issues effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and active listening abilities. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to handle grievances without emotional involvement Preferred Qualifications:

SHRM or HRCI certification. Experience in the hospitality or luxury services sector. Key Competencies:
