On Call What You Bring To SBHG (Qualifications): Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology is required. An Associate's degree is preferred. Must have a minimum of two years of experience working with adults and children over the age of 12 who have a DSM-V diagnosis. A valid California LVN or LPT license and a valid California Driver's License are mandatory. Note:
Must possess a valid California Driver's License and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver's eligibility policy. How You Will Make A Difference (Job Overview): The LVN / LPT assists with medication support services provided by the psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, or physician's assistant. Medication support services may include, but are not limited to; med support appointments, taking vitals, medication education, medication management support and/or administration, including injections. Follow up communication, tracking and documentation for labs, prescriptions and appointments. Provides direct client care including medications and basic medical intervention and education, following standard nursing practices. Division/Program Overview: This 24/7 voluntary residential program provides a higher level of care but not a psychiatric level for up to 15 Transitional Age Youth (TAY) who are at risk. The facility offers comprehensive mental health services, including individual therapy, group rehabilitation, medication management, and case management. The program is built on the principles of recovery and peer support, with a strong focus on connecting youth to educational and vocational services, identifying community resources, and initiating the process of locating stable housing.
