Senior. This position will be supporting The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Chemical Biological Center, known as DEVCOM CBC. This role will lead budget formulation, execution, and forecasting efforts to support government leads. The person in this role will: Lead multi-year budget formulation, justification, and execution processes aligned to program objectives. Perform detailed financial forecasting, trend analyses, and variance reporting to identify and resolve budgetary issues. Coordinate with comptroller offices, program managers, and auditors to reconcile accounts and obligations. Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and cost-benefit projections to support resource allocation decisions. Draft budget narratives, justification materials, and briefing slides for senior leadership reviews. Monitor fund utilization, track obligations, and implement corrective actions to maintain fiscal integrity. Advise on compliance with federal appropriations law, OMB circulars, and internal finance policies. Create and maintain financial dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics for real-time monitoring. Support audit readiness by preparing documentation, responding to findings, and implementing recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial data into strategic planning and execution. The experience and certification requirements listed below are essential to successfully perform the tasks above: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 7 years of financial analysis or budget management experience in a federal environment. Proficiency with federal financial systems and advanced Excel modeling. Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
