Part-Time Lecturers Needed

The M.S. in Corporate and Organizational Communication program in the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University is seeking part-time lecturers for Foundations of Professional Communication. Designed for international graduate students who have not previously studied in the U.S. or Canada, this elective course combines integrated ESL with academic acculturation strategies. Specific areas of instruction include: reading and writing for graduate school; English sounds and prosody; and expectations surrounding academic integrity, class participation, email etiquette, and presentation skills. All sections are 12-weeks. Boston-based courses meet in-person once per week. Toronto-based courses meet online asynchronously. Qualified candidates must possess at least three years teaching international students at the post-secondary level and a graduate degree in a related field (e.g., TESOL, applied linguistics, or English); instructors of Canadian sections must have a doctoral degree. Strong communication and technical skills are required. Non-native English-speaking applicants are welcome and encouraged.
