Therapist Position
This position will serve Giles, Hickman, Maury, Lewis, Marshall, Lawrence, Wayne and Perry counties in Tennessee. Summary Of Position Centerstone is seeking a therapist with experience treating children/adolescents (ages 3-18) and their families with acute emotional problems. The position is a community based position, providing flexibility with work schedule. This is an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team. No weekend or on call work required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop therapeutic rapport with clients
Meet with clients as scheduled to aid in development of therapeutic relationship. Diagnostic Assessment
Formulate a provisional diagnostic assessment based on information presented, identify need for risk assessment (to include substance use assessments). Concurrent Documentation
Completes documentation to extend authorizations as required. Provide assessment services and individual (and possibly family) therapy to those identified at risk for being removed from the home. Treatment Planning
Developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall treatment goals/objectives and plans per ongoing assessment of needs and input from the individual based on their identified strengths. Therapeutic Interventions
Use of empirically based modalities to engage and manage their mental health or substance abuse diagnosis. Progress notes completed within current agency guidelines. Responds to supervisory request for coverage for vacant caseloads. This includes telehealth and face to face intervention. Keeps administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the client, their family, program or the organization. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. Proficient in Microsoft Office products Coordination, ability to organize, and plan are critical for this role Responds to needs of consumers in a timely and professional manner. Demonstrates good clinical judgment in decision making regarding consumers. Qualifications Education Level: Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, Mental Health, or related field is required. Other Master's level degrees may be considered to provide psychotherapy services based on a review of transcripts. For Master's degrees other than Counseling, Social Work or Psychology, successful applicants must have passed a minimum of 24 graduate level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling or other behavioral health related classes. Years of Experience: One year of experience treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders preferred. Physical Requirements Standing
