Associate Buyer/Planner (Operations Planner)

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through production and inventory process. Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules. In front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. May monitor performance of suppliers and collaborate on demand analysis planning. Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree required Minimum of 0 years of relevant experience Nice to Have Experience working with MRP/ERP systems (strong preference SAP or Blue Yonder) Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, etc.) or similar software. Strong data analysis, data management, and quantitative skills Experience in production planning a plus but not needed-this role will be crossed trained in Production planning as a backup role. Experience resolving AP(Accounts Payable) issues is a plus but not needed. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), team orientation, and ability to negotiate towards positive outcomes. Strong organizational skills, Self-starter, able to work Independent, and good understanding of team dynamics. Must be detail-oriented, with ability to connect the detail to higher level goals. Ability to identify patterns or concerns and root cause and solutions. Identify Slow or non-moving Inventory. Collab with SQE, SCR , GSM for scenario building and find quick solution Working knowledge of quality system requirements and good manufacturing practices. Experience working in a regulated environment (i.e., medical device, pharmaceutical) APICS and/or CPM Certification Cost accounting understanding/experience Understanding of contracts (supply, services, non-disclosures, etc.) Lean/Six Sigma Green or Yellow Belt (or comparable training). The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
