This position may be based at any of our Hydronics locations; Burr Ridge/Chicago area, Michigan City IN, Eden NC or East Stroudsburg PA. Job Summary

As the Senior Director of Operations, you will lead and optimize operational excellence across our Hydronic heating manufacturing business. This position has a strong focus on efficiency and scalability, and is critical to driving growth, improving processes, and ensuring profitability in a dynamic and evolving industry. Job Responsibilities

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be: Operational Leadership Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production, supply chain, procurement, and distribution. Ensure smooth integration of new operational initiatives to align with company goals. Lead efforts to streamline processes and maximize efficiency across multiple facilities. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational effectiveness. Strategic Growth and Continuous Improvement Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategies that support business growth and profitability. Drive continuous improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, and other best practices to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Identify and implement automation and advanced manufacturing technologies to maintain competitive advantages. People and Performance Management Build and lead high-performing teams across manufacturing, supply chain, and operational functions. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration to achieve organizational goals. Mentor and develop talent, ensuring succession planning and workforce readiness for future needs. Maintain a focus on employee safety and well-being by enforcing rigorous safety standards and protocols. Financial and Resource Optimization Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals. Analyze financial and operational data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains. Collaborate with finance and leadership teams to evaluate the return on investment (ROI) for operational improvements and strategic initiatives. Regulatory and Quality Compliance Ensure all operations comply with relevant industry standards, including safety, quality, and environmental regulations. Oversee quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards for products and services. Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize operational disruptions. Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has: Required Experience Minimum of 12 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role Proven track record of leading operations excellence in a high-growth, dynamic business. Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills Proficiency in manufacturing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems Strong financial acumen and budget management skills Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions Experience with M&A and business integrations Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of the HVAC Heat industry Experience with ISO standards Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field Travel & Working Environment This position may be based at any of our Hydronics locations; Burr Ridge/Chicago area, Michigan City, IN, Eden North Carolina or East Stroudsburg, PA This role requires routine travel to all locations, approximately 25-50% We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. As required by law in this state, the estimated salary range for this position is $185,600-$276,125 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate's experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.
