Neurodiagnostic Technologist
The Ohio State University is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist for the Brain and Spine department, specifically in the Electroencephalography division. This position involves performing various modalities of END procedures, including EEG, evoked potentials, nerve conduction studies, long term monitoring, or intraoperative monitoring. The role also includes setting up and preparing patients for EMG/Nerve Conduction testing, assisting physicians with EMG related tests, and reviewing patient medical records to obtain a medical history. The technologist will explain procedures, detect neurological disorders, eliminate artifacts, and assist in educating patients and staff. Additionally, the role requires proficiency in hospital scheduling software, maintaining equipment, attending department meetings, and managing inventory and billing records. The position is regular, with scheduled hours of 36 per week, and varying shifts. The work is conducted at the Brain and Spine Hospital (0372). Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check, and a drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process.
