Non-OSU Student Assistant-Inventory Management
We are recruiting non-OSU students for a Fall and Winter internship with the Facilities Operations unit with the potential to work through the remainder of the school year. Responsibilities:
Just In Time inventory management Learn how inventory is tracked, par levels, order quantities, etc. Clean and audit janitorial closets (Lifting up to 50 pounds) When to order, how items are committed to orders, and how they are charged out once they have been delivered. Warehouse organization and layout functionality + change management - Receiving, Picking, and delivering of materials - Understanding inventory management systems and their role throughout processes. Learn how to update cell phones. Determine order quantities based on-hand inventory, past patterns, and future demand For JCIP/ FOD Student Life to be able to provide these key learning points, basic functions (ordering, picking, delivering, and cycle counts) will be the basis of daily work. Must be enrolled in a university that is not OSU Work a minimum of 15 hours per week Hours can vary Mon-Fri between 7-4:30 (closed weekends) Pay starts at $13/hr with the potential of making $14/hr within the first 90 days. This position is for students not currently enrolled at The Ohio State University. Location:
