Tuesday - Saturday, Variable Shift (7:00am - 5:00pm) No Call, No Nights The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs interventional radiology and nephrology procedures for patients in conjunction with the radiologist/nephrologist throughout the day and takes direction from the Interventional Radiology Supervisor and Radiology Program Manager. Qualifications

PRINCIPLES DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to participate in all interventional radiology procedures including, but not limited to: PICC line placements, arthrograms, modified barium swallows, and lumbar punctures Ability to participate in all interventional nephrology procedures including, but not limited to: arteriovenous fistulagrams, hemodialysis line placements, exchanges and removals, thrombectomies, and angioplasties. Ability to perform all QC procedures for imaging equipment Works with radiologist and/or interventional nephrologist to ensure proper procedure technique. Adheres to sterile technique when required for procedures. Enters the appropriate charges into the electronic medical record accurately for all exams. Orders and stocks medical supplies. Ensures that all exams are entered into PACS and are available for interpretation from radiologist and/or interventional nephrologist Adapts to the workflow plan set out by Interventional Radiology Supervisor or Radiology Program Manager as necessary to a changing environment. Actively participates in radiation protection by maintaining ALARA standards and wearing film badges. Must have graduated from an approved program in Radiologic Sciences Massachusetts Department of Public Health licensure for radiology technologist, required. ARRT registry, required. BCLS, required. Minimal 1-2 years of experience as Radiologic Technologist preferred. Adheres to all I CARE Standards Effectively and efficiently produce high quality interventional imaging studies Must be able to multi-task, adapt to a changing pace, and manage competing priorities. Must possess strong technical, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and service skills with patients, all departmental and hospital staff, and vendors Ability to explain technical and medical terms in an understandable way to patients. Ability to provide guidance, instruction, and feedback in a professional manner to develop students and staff in training. Additional Job Details (if applicable)
