Do you enjoy being a positive influence in your community and enjoy working with youth? We are looking for new team members who are passionate about youth development, making a difference, and having an impact in the community. The DNOVA Creative Center (DCC) is a vibrant hub designed for high school students to collaborate, learn, and grow. Serving as an after-school space during the week, the DCC also hosts private events, workshops, and community gatherings. It fosters creativity, STEM learning, and community engagement. The DCC Mentor is the primary mentor for our students and responsibilities include scheduling and facilitating workshops or programs, mentoring students, communicating with constituents, and supporting the site team, among other duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Mentor DNOVA Creative Center students. Maintain a positive environment. Gather data about the students and program. Schedule and facilitate programs and workshops. Keep close communication with parents, students, and staff. Open and close the center, and maintain a clean, well-stocked, and fully operational site at all times. Promote the center at outreach events. LOCATION DNOVA Creative Center, 330 N Rangeline Rd, Carmel, IN 46032, USA

HOURS Afterschool Operations: 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM; M-F

WORK ENVIRONMENT Office, Creative Center, Outdoors

QUALIFICATIONS The DCC Mentor will be thoroughly committed to DNOVA Institute's mission.

Demonstrable experience and other qualifications include: Higher Education Certification or degree in STEM, Education, Youth Development, Social Work or related fields. Experience working with youth and parents. Experience with program operations, supervision, education, teaching, and development preferred. Action-oriented, adaptable, proactive, and innovative approach to solve challenges. Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people, as well as independently. Successfully pass a background check. CPR, First Aid, and basic life support certification preferred (training available).
