Cardiovascular Stress Testing Technician

Job Summary Responsible for administering stress tests to patients to assess their cardiovascular health under the direction of a physician. Essential Functions Prepare patients for stress tests by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have. Apply electrodes and other monitoring devices to patients to measure their heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs during the test. Administer stress tests, such as exercise stress tests or pharmacological stress tests, to evaluate the patient's cardiovascular health. Monitor patients during the stress test and responding to any issues or complications that arise. Document results of the stress test and communicating them to the supervising physician. Maintain equipment and ensuring that it is functioning properly. Assist in the scheduling of stress tests and other cardiology procedures. Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certified Cardiographic Technician [CCT] - Cardiovascular Credentialing International preferred Experience Experience in or specialized training in stress testing and cardiovascular health stress testing and cardiovascular health 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure.
