Inventory Student Technician - ITO

Join our team at the Information Technology Office's Service Desk! This is an in-person position in the George I Snchez (SZB) building. In the Information Technology Office (ITO) Service Desk, you will be an integral part of our behind the scenes work to support College of Education faculty and staff in SZB and BEL with inventory needs. With your focus on inventory- you will find yourself going on scavenger hunts for technology in our classrooms, working with the desktop support team to get surplus materials picked up, and being a right hand to the Service Desk Manager when it is time to submit inventory for the year! While this position requires collaboration and communication among the ITO Service Desk team, many tasks are completed individually with support of the Service Desk Manager. This position would best suit someone who can work every day of the week (Monday-Friday) up to 19 hours and enjoys working on their own for long periods. Responsibilities: Support the desktop support team in surplus management. Coordinate with faculty and staff in SZB and Bellmont (BEL) Hall. Support the process of inventory management. Collect data and analyze when needed. Tag items as being owned by UT and send data to campus wide inventory. Required Qualifications

Great at scavenger hunts! (looking for equipment in spaces to be inventoried) Microsoft Excel wizard! (recording, sorting, and filtering important data) Excellent Communicator! (coordinate with departments in the College of Education) Must bring a positive and curious attitude! (willing to ask questions!) Experience troubleshooting on the fly! (ever take Linkedin Learning courses? Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. $15 per hour Work Shift
