Position Overview: Accountable for all projects, repairs and/or improvement on the line(s) as well as any mold changes and preventative maintenance. Ensure proper and safe operational conditions of all production and related equipment. Based pay starts between 30.95-34.25 hourly based on skills, ability & experience $2,000 hire bonus (divided and paid out at 90 days, 6 months & 1 year) Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Recommend, plan, repair, modify, make, install and adjust necessary elements following a problem or project, which may have an effect on productivity. Assist in updating, developing and improving equipment PM programs. Direct and advise production employees while working on repairs. Assist and train production employees on machine conversions and PMs. Ensure cleanliness of all equipment and related areas after repairs or PMs. Communicate to supervisors on the condition of all production equipment. Assist in maintaining appropriate stock of spare parts. Assist Maintenance Electrician in investigating electrical-related problems. Assist maintenance team with repairs, PMs, installation, commissioning and testing Review all machine safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout) and general safety procedures (Fire/Evacuation, Accident Reporting and all aspects of the Safety Contract). Skills Required: Ability to organize work, effectively and economically, within the plant's schedule(s). Knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics. Basic knowledge in electricity and controls. Must have prior maintenance/mechanical experience with either a minimum of 2 years or a certificate in maintenance. Forklift Certified and Elevated Lift Certified (Onsite training available) Must be willing to work any shift. Physical Requirements: Normal vision; near vision; distant vision Hearing/Listening Pushing/Pulling Talking/Speaking Hand/Finger Dexterity Stooping, bending, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, climbing Lifting (50 pounds) Carrying (50 pounds) Environment: Must be able to work in hot environment during peak seasons Able to operate and work on heavy moving machinery Able to work around forklifts, and operate with training certification Be able to work at heights Must be able to use power hand tools, (drills, grinders, saws, pullers etc) Must be able to use shop equipment (drill press, lathe, bench grinder, sanders, chop saw, bearing press) Our Expectations
