The Coordinator Program Services in the Hicks Honors College assists in designing, developing, implementing, and assessing departmental processes and programs. Job Function
This position provides coordination for the Hicks Honors College Programs and Services. Coordinates course scheduling (including directed independent studies), curricular changes; develops communications (including website development and regular website updates, social media and communications with current students, external communications to parents, FTIC prospects and transfer students, etc.) Prepares reports, compiles and analyzes data, contributes to program assessment and strategic planning, participates in grant preparation; supports key student success operations, including recruiting, enrollment management, liaising with Honors faculty and administration, and tracking program completion. Supports Honors College initiatives and events as needed. Other duties as assigned. Marginal Functions
During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence. Departmental Requirements
Excellent Oral, Written, and Communication Skills Experience in at least two of the job responsibilities (course scheduling, web design, social media, and communications). Must be very detail-oriented and have knowledge and a facility in organization and logistics. Excellent Data Analysis
Advanced Excel Certification preferred. Experience with statistics is preferred. Experience with a university or college Honors program preferred. Supervision Exercised
Supervision Received: The Coordinator Program Services will work under the direction of the Associate Director of Operations for the Hicks Honors College to assist in the design, development, and implementation of departmental processes and/or programs. Level of Public Contact
Communication with parents, prospects, alumni, current students, faculty and staff. Monetary Responsibility
To prepare for Events incumbent will need to have a p-card and prepare a monthly p-card expense report. Policymaking and/or Interpretation
Recommends policies and procedures to ensure effective coordination and tracking of departmental programs. Program Direction and Development
Assists the Assistant Director, Director, Director of Fellowships, and Dean with program development. This position requires either (a) Master's degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization; (b) Bachelor's degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c) 6 years of direct experience. This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check. The holder of this position is designated as a "Responsible Employee" pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University's Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator. This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. As such, any person in this position must report to the University Police Department a crime or an incident that might be a crime that he/she becomes aware of. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA ' s responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session.
