As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent food and beverage location, you will play a key role in access control, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all employees, visitors, and guests. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols of assigned areas, and remaining highly visible to provide reassurance and support. You will also deliver exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and assisting individuals as needed. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $18.47 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit. Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and vendors with inquiries and directions as needed. Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols. Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific procedures. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: A valid Guard Card is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
