Hospice Account Executive

Eligible for monthly achievement-based bonuses! Coverage Region: Washtenaw County This position sells Hospice Services in a defined market or territory. Activities include account identification and development services and growing facility and physician admissions. This position may provide Hospice informational in some markets. The Hospice Account Executive will facilitate efficient and effective referral processing with the referral source, patient, and the hospice agency. The Hospice Account Executive may be involved in sales and marketing activities with partnered facilities to promote a strong partnership. Essential Functions Planning and achievement of territory admission targets. Implements territory sales plans and manages sales time and resources according to plan, adjusting the plan as necessary to meet targets. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with facility discharge planning, nursing and medical staff offering hospice information and assistance as appropriate. Responsible for screening and accurate completion of referrals to ensure patients meet agency admission criteria and comply with state and federal regulations. Meets with Agency Operations Management on a regular basis to discuss sales activities, new opportunities, potential barriers etc. Works in conjunction with the discharge planning staff to assist patient/family's transition to hospice. Responds to all inquiries regarding hospice services. Cross-sells THAH services / products (Hospice, Palliative) as appropriate Accountable for ensuring complete referral information is obtained for accurate and timely billing. Initiates and participates in case conferences when indicated with members of the health care team. Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with patients/families, other professionals, co-workers, and the public. Demonstrates exemplary customer service skills. Considers individual differences, needs, and abilities of patients, families, and co-workers. Maintains CRM, prioritizing accounts in accordance with the market/territory sales plan. Maintains detailed territory management systems records as required. Reviews and adheres to all Company policies and procedures. Participates and completes all Company sponsored education and development for the position.
