The Knot Worldwide is looking for a proven engineering leader with a passion for leading teams to help us transform the way couples discover, connect, and collaborate with wedding pros. Our Planning and Content team is focused on delivering a seamlessly integrated experience powered by personalization and AI. We believe this approach is essential not only to driving our continued growth but also to enhancing the overall experience for the couples we serve. The right individual will have a proven track record creating scalable, world class user experiences within an agile, data driven environment. You will lead a combination of native mobile and web teams and actively partner with product, design, and data leaders. Responsibilities
Lead multiple engineering teams to deliver high-impact, outcome-driven results. Collaborate closely with product, design, data, and marketing leaders to define strategy and set OKRs that align with company objectives. Align technical strategy across teams to ensure cohesive direction and execution. Be a thought leader in how best to infuse AI into the planning journey and our couple facing experiences. Mentor engineering managers and senior individual contributors to foster career growth and develop future leaders. Own the quality, performance, and scalability of the consumer experience; monitor key metrics to drive continuous improvement. Champion a data-informed approach to software development, optimizing processes and operational efficiency. Uphold engineering excellence through practices such as code reviews, automated testing, and robust incident management. A Successful Candidate Has The Following
10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 5+ years managing multiple teams and engineering leaders. Proficiency in one or more of the following: Node.js, Swift, or React. Demonstrated success in shipping high-quality consumer-facing web or mobile products. Proven experience scaling software systems and engineering organizations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; adept at leveraging data to inform decisions. Skilled at managing complex, cross-functional initiatives and resource planning across teams. Excels in a collaborative, distributed work environment with team members across multiple geographies. Experience using A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to guide feature development and optimization. Driven, results-oriented, and motivated by delivering exceptional user value.
