Customer Experience Scientist

The Customer Experience Scientist role is a critical role in achieving and maintaining a competitive advantage in the marketplace by ensuring our innovations resonate with customers and surpass industry standards. The role will lead and oversee responsibilities in identifying unmet customer needs and driving innovation to meet those needs. The role will be instrumental in Diversey's innovation stage gate process, supporting development of new technologies and offerings that deliver customer satisfaction and competitive advantage in the marketplace. Responsibilities Lead New Product Blueprinting:

Take ownership of the New Product Blueprinting process to thoroughly understand and document unmet customer needs, ensuring that the company's innovations align with market demands. Application Expertise:

Grow and leverage technical expertise and deep understanding of customer applications to bridge the gap between customer requirements and technical solutions, providing valuable insights and guidance during development of new product ranges. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, particularly the marketing and sales teams, to ensure that customer requirements are well-defined, supported, and that customer feedback is actively integrated into the product development process. Concept Development:

Play a pivotal role in the concept development phase by contributing your expertise in application testing, which reflects customer experiences and aligns with critical customer requirements. Standardized Field Testing: Oversee the design and execution of standardized, statistically relevant field testing against critical customer requirements. Additionally, conduct controlled application testing when required. Validation and Certification:

Execute validation field trials to rigorously assess the final technical solutions under practical conditions, ensuring they meet or exceed critical technical and application-related requirements. Continuous Learning:

Stay up-to-date with evolving customer requirements and industry trends to continuously enhance your technical and application knowledge, contributing to the successful development of innovative solutions. Required Qualifications You have a bachelor's in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related technical degree You have at least 5+ years of experience in the Industrial and Institutional cleaning market. You have the ability to travel up to 50%; occasional international travel; occasional evening work Additional Qualifications Knowledge of cleaning chemistry and materials used in industrial and institutional cleaning products Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills and ability to present results clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences Fluent (writing, reading, speaking) in a language other than English. Experience with direct customer engagement Understanding of EPA sanitizer/disinfectant regulations, BPR, USDA sanitation product regulations, and hand hygiene regulation Good understanding of statistical methods, use of statistical software, and able to use basic experimental design concepts. Designs and validates new test procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

The expected compensation range for this position is between $75,900.00 and $126,500.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
