A Patient Access Intern will assist leaders in the smooth running of special projects within the referrals department, call center, patient engagement, process improvements, and enrollment. The intern will be required to create reports, analyze data, support, understand the organizations needs, and support ongoing projects. Under the supervision of the department representative, volunteer provides clerical and administrative support to the assigned department and will gain knowledge of community health care through exposure to the FHCSD community health model. Currently enrolled in a masters degree program such as business, health administration, public health, or other related fields Ability to work professionally (independently and collaboratively) Solution-oriented and willing to work for long hours to meet project deadlines Proven ability to plan and manage resources Proficiency with data analysis and interpreting results Strong verbal and written communication skills Adaptable, efficient, and resourceful Interest in healthcare administration, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) and improving health services for uninsured, low-income populations Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications Spanish/English/Arabic fluency desired, but not required Physical Requirements/Working Environment
