Government Reimbursement Analyst
Government Reimbursement Analyst will be responsible for completing cost report working papers, financial analysis, and preparing month-end journal entries and other miscellaneous financial reports for multiple hospitals. This individual will report to the Manager of Reimbursement. Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of financial analysis, healthcare compliance, or reimbursement experience required. Certifications, Licenses, or Registrations Required: N/A Preferred Qualifications: Hospital reimbursement experience and Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft office products, database software, analytical skills, communication skills, and organizational skills. Responsibilities: Compile financial and statistical data necessary to prepare the annual Medicare, Medicaid cost reports, and Tricare cost reports for all hospital facilities and Rural Health Clinics. Monitor and assist the Transplant billing team with proper routing of organ acquisition charge capture for the Medicare cost report. Assists with compilation of data for annual Medicaid disproportionate share hospital surveys and audits. Prepare monthly journal entries necessary to ensure reimbursement estimates, and settlement activities are properly accrued and reported. Coordinate and maintain the physician time study database to ensure participation compliance as well as updates for terminations and additions. Assist reimbursement auditors in the accumulation of information requested as part of cost report audits/reviews. Prepare necessary documentation to support filings with Medicare and Medicaid. Compile and submit annual wage index reviews and occupational mix reviews as directed by CMS. Keep abreast of cost report standards to ensure compliance with directives issued by CMS. Enhance professional growth and development through CMS bulletins, conferences and seminars.
