As the Sr. Sales Development Representative, you will have the opportunity to: Serve as a point of contact for clients, aiding and support as needed Work closely with the Client Account Managers as assigned to support Sales goals and objectives Collaborate with BV teams to meet client needs, engaging with the necessary internal stakeholders Black & Veatch's Enterprise Evolution consists of critical functions focused on identifying market opportunities and bringing together our client facing and growth efforts. Functions include Enterprise Marketing & Communications, Enterprise Sales, Enterprise Strategy, Innovation, Mergers and Acquisitions and Sustainability. Key responsibilities include: Actively monitor and mine the marketing database of potential leads and collaborate with sales and marketing to: segment and target clients, complete client research, identify buyer signals and qualify leads, optimize lead scoring and refine buyer personas, manage lead queues to support data quality and hygiene. Partner with the Demand Generation team to actively support the client decision journeys defined for marketing campaigns. Assist with conducting client satisfaction surveys and use feedback to improve our services and offerings. Collaborate with sales and marketing to segment clients, target clients, complete client research, and generate and qualify leads. Full responsibilities for this position will vary by Market Segment or Region. Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities. Identify best practices for refining the BV's lead-generation playbook. Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage Client Account Managers in next steps. Provide status updates to clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting progress and identifying any issues or concerns. Represent Black & Veatch's Solutions and Services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet client needs. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices. Support client follow-up for information and interest from sources such as client events, marketing campaigns and website inquiries. Support client outreach for attendance at virtual and physical events and lifecycle engagements to nurture relationships and pipeline opportunities. Responsibilities include: Utilize Salesforce CRM, cold calls, and email to generate new sales opportunities. Identify the needs of prospects and complete initial discovery around solution. Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities. Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market. Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and sales executives. Report to Sales Excellence Leader and Client Segment Leaders with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results. Management responsibilities include: Individual Contributor Preferred qualifications include: 2 years of relevant experience Strong professional verbal and written communication skills. Experience in discovery sales methodology. Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills. Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent). Experience as a sales development representative (inside sales), with a track record of achieving sales quotas for technical solutions and services. Experience in industrial and/or commercial sales, solutions development, or proposal support. Proficiency with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, SharePoint, Power BI, and the Microsoft suite. Minimum qualifications include: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required in a sales role or EPC industry. Familiar with sales and/or project execution work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Sales experience a plus. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience using Salesforce a plus. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
