Cardiac Cath Lab - 207041
The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech III functions as an essential team member in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Duties include but are not limited to scrubbing to assist the MD, circulating for supplies to assist the procedure or monitoring the patients' hemodynamic status during the procedure. Education: Graduate of accredited two (2) year Allied Health training program preferred College level anatomy & physiology required Experience: Three years patient care experience preferred Training or working experience in an invasive cardiovascular environment preferred Certification & Licensure: Acquire Cardiac
Interventional (CI) Radiography certification or a CVT with Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification within 2 years of employment A Registered Radiology Tech may be hired in this position BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required. New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation. ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 30 days of hire Qualifications: Meets all requirements of level III Heart & Vascular Technician Clinical Ladder Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on the age of the patient served Must possess communication skills necessary to relate to physicians, peers and patients on a professional and technical level Must be available to participate in on-call rotation and call back testing (?30 minute response time required) Physical Demands: 17 A Medical Technician/Other Technicians/Assistants FLSA Classification: Non-exempt Benefits
