Assistant Director of Enterprise GRC

The Assistant Director of Enterprise GRC will develop and implement enterprise risk tooling and methodologies to drive the ongoing maturation of Northwestern Mutual's enterprise risk management operating model. They will collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management & Resiliency (ERMR) leaders, and act as a liaison with stakeholders and managing strategic partnerships. This role involves leading project/program management efforts to identify gaps, best practices, and proactive solutions to business challenges. The Assistant Director will anticipate, identify, and resolve complex business problems affecting multiple functions that impact the entire organization. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the Senior Director, Enterprise GRC in the development, implementation, adoption, management, and oversight of enterprise-level governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tooling. Define and carry out the governance of an enterprise risk common data model. Define and establish dashboards and reporting to communicate outputs from enterprise GRC use cases. Define and implement an enterprise risk issues management strategy. Conduct centralized coordination and governance structure for enterprise GRC program. Align with ERMR leadership on objectives and key results for the enterprise GRC roadmap. Support other Enterprise Risk Transformation initiatives in coordination with ERMR leadership. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Risk Management, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or a relevant area, plus 7 years+ of progressive experience involving Risk Management, or other related functions. Substantial experience implementing GRC or similar cross-functional process and technology capabilities. Working knowledge of regulatory and risk management frameworks relevant to the enterprise. Experience with ServiceNow IRM module, with ServiceNow certifications such as: Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) preferred. Proven experience managing complex projects ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget and timeline

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Knowledge of NM's existing organization, governance structure, culture preferred. Includes the ability to help others efficiently cope with change and minimize the emotional impact. Problem Solving: Demonstrated knowledge of and practical application of multiple problem-solving tools (including a total systems approach) addressing complex and unique problems. Established history of solving problems with effective solutions. Ability and determination to communicate difficult risk information and other situations to all levels of company management. Leadership & Communications: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including excellent decision making, consultation, negotiation, influence, and communication (written and verbal, with ability to present effectively to a variety of audiences), with the NM enterprise savvy to navigate, influence and inform multiple key internal stakeholders. Advisor: Trusted advisor and builder of strong, collaborative relationships with key business and risk partners to align and deliver on cross functional, enterprise solutions. Enterprise Acumen: Strong finance, planning, strategy, and operations skills, including the ability to understand how initiatives drive business outcomes and drive work through the processes and procedures within NM to ensure leadership buy-in and execution quality. Compensation Range: $92,750.00 - $172,250.00 Geographic Specific Pay Structure: 205 - Structure 110: 102,060.00 USD - 189,540.00 USD 205 - Structure 115: 106,680.00 USD - 198,120.00 USD We believe in fairness and transparency.
