Job Summary:

The Senior Research Assistant is an experienced laboratory professional who provides advanced technical support for research activities. This role builds upon the foundational responsibilities of a Research Assistant, incorporating a broader scope of work, including proficiency in multiple research techniques, troubleshooting experimental procedures, and mentoring junior staff. The Senior Research Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of laboratory operations while supporting ongoing research projects.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience: Master's Degree or Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) and two (2) year's laboratory experience Certifications, Licenses, or Registration Required: N/A Preferred Qualifications: Degree in science field of biology, chemistry, or a related field Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Responsibilities: Perform and oversee a variety of laboratory techniques, including molecular, cellular, and biochemical assays, and maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records.

Assist in designing and optimizing experimental protocols in collaboration with research associates and scientists and support multiple ongoing studies.

Train and mentor Research Technicians, providing guidance on laboratory procedures and best practices.

Manage laboratory inventory, ensuring proper ordering and organization of supplies and reagents.

Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.

Prepare detailed experimental documentation and assist with data analysis and interpretation.

Assist in compiling data for presentations, reports, and research publications.

May assist in animal husbandry, collection of physiological data, and euthanasia.
