Rivers Health Technologist Position
Rivers Health is seeking a full-time Multi Discipline Technologist. Performs radiologic and computerized tomographic examinations according to routine views and/or physician requests in a manner which is competent to each respective area. The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change from time to time. Performs quality radiographic procedures according to department policy and procedure. Evaluates radiographic quality of films prior to interpretation. Prepares patients for examinations obtaining pertinent histories and explaining the examination. Performs C.A.T. scans according to routine procedures. Coordinates scheduling, transportation and scanning of patients. Maintains cleanliness of room and equipment. Orders supplies used in the operation of the C.A.T. scanner and assigned radiology room. Follows safety and infection control policies of department and hospital. Takes call as scheduled. Performs other duties that may be assigned. Complies with Corporate Policies, Departmental Policies and Procedures and Personnel Employee Handbook. Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration. Will participate in quality improvement activities including serving on quality improvement teams.
