Quality Inspection Lead

With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace. Our team is looking for a Quality Inspection Lead to join them. You will report to the Director of Quality and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, NC. To be considered for the Quality Inspection Lead opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you: Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field preferred Minimum 5 years of quality experience in the aerospace industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role In-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9102 and aerospace regulatory specifications Familiarity with quality tools: 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP Strong leadership and team management capabilities Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of quality inspection equipment and tools Ability to develop and implement quality inspection procedures Strong analytical and problem-solving skills As a Quality Inspection Lead you will: Supervise daily operations of the quality team including inspectors and technicians to meet monthly schedule and delivery requirements Develop, implement, and monitor inspection procedures, sampling plans, and quality control metrics Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and third-party assessments Support quality planning activities including FAI, PPAP, and control plans Manage Final Inspection product realization through dimensional, surface, part marking and verification of specification requirements. Work with other departments to integrate quality inspection principles into all aspects of the organization's operations Conduct root cause analysis of quality defects Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future defects Manage and lead departmental quality and productivity improvement projects Represent the quality inspection function to other departments and stakeholders Ensure team remains current with industry trends and best practices Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA Part 21/145, EASA, and other relevant aerospace regulations and customer requirements Support quality planning activities including FAI, PPAP, and control plans Train and mentor staff on quality standards, procedures, and tools Participate in Material Review Boards (MRB) and disposition of nonconforming product Analyze quality performance data and report KPIs to management Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues Ensure document control practices align with company and regulatory requirements Our Benefits: Comprehensive medical insurance Competitive PTO, holiday pay, and sick leave Company 401K plan with up to 4% matched contribution Annual bonus program (varies by level and discretionary based on company and individual performance) Flexible working arrangements Paid volunteering opportunities Access to mental health champions across our sites Commitment to development Employee referral program Compensation Pay Range $85,000- $100,000/year, based on experience EOE/AA Minority/Female/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disability/Veteran
