Role Summary:

The Maintenance Material Handler plays an integral role in the distribution operation. You will be part of a dynamic, fast-moving, team, playing an integral part in processing merchandise as well as in the overall shipping and receiving operation. Job Responsibilities:

Coordinating transfer receipts from store locations. Completing inspections to ensure merchandise is in saleable condition before moving to inventory. Communicating with leads and coordinators regarding receiving discrepancies or damage to transfer merchandise. Reviewing details of orders, checking products for damage, picking or packing merchandise for customers, and working with leadership to correct issues. Coordinating merchandise to be booked and placed into the inventory management system Scanning merchandise into inventory efficiently and in a timely manner meeting production needs. Making sure that merchandise reaches the designated end-destination in a timely fashion. Moving material to and from storage and production areas. Loading and Unloading docks & delivery vehicles by hand and other equipment. Possess and sustain physical requirements including but not limited to: standing for long periods of time (up to 10 hours), lifting up to 30 lbs repeatedly, walking long distances repeatedly, bending, stooping, climbing ladders or stairs repeatedly, manual dexterity of hands to process orders, push or pull or lift up to 50 lbs. Key Qualifications:

1+ year(s) of experience in retail, wholesale, or direct-to-consumer warehouse operations. Must have understanding of the English language both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate understanding of English during the interview process. Possess articulate verbal and written communication skills. Communicates in a timely and appropriate manner to all levels. - Good computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Excellent organizational and efficiency skills. Demonstrates enthusiasm in a team environment to deliver positive results. - Willingness to work weekend shifts. Must know how to distinguish between colors. Must be able to hear equipment and warning signals. May operate non powered warehouse equipment (i.e., pallet jack) which requires some coordinated movements. Demonstrated understanding of working with computer based systems. Manual dexterity of hands to Count, bag, tag, sort, and package incoming freight. Your Life and Career at Saks:
