Competitive salary and benefits Employee programs and events Paid Time Off and 7 Company Holidays Employer paid life insurance Additional voluntary benefits such as STD, LTD, etc Job Summary The CT X-ray Tech under the direction of the Director of Medical Imaging, will be proficient in performing CT scans, MRI scans, and X-rays, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. Completes any task assigned by management for the improvement of the Imaging Department. Essential Functions Verifies requisition, orders (initial order), patient history, consents, and verifies the correct exam is ordered. If needed verifies with Radiologist. Perform CT scans, MRI scans, and X-rays according to established protocols and procedures. Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety. Operate imaging equipment, including adjusting settings and selecting appropriate techniques to obtain optimal images. Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures performed. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of images. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including proper handling of equipment and radiation. Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on imaging equipment. Provide clear instructions and explanations to patients regarding imaging procedures. Assist in the training and mentoring of new technologists and students as needed. Other duties as assigned. Communication/Knowledge Attends staff meetings; follows HIPAA guidelines; follows patient rights policy; complies with the compliance program; demonstrates knowledge of role in a disaster; demonstrates knowledge of fire and fire drill procedures; working knowledge of hospital emergency codes; always utilizes standard precautions in the clinical setting; safely manages the environment of care by demonstrating a working knowledge of the requirements of the: Life Safety program, Utilities Management program, Hazardous Materials program, Emergency Preparedness program, Safety Management program, Medical Equipment Management program, Security Management program. Requirements Good knowledge of all aspect of MRI procedures and protocols, good patient skills, and good communication. Education Graduate of a 2-year accredited school of Radiology Licensure/Certifications ARRT in MRI ( R ) and MRT with State of TX. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography (R), CT (Computed Tomography), and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging).
